GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide) is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide (Gly-His-Lys-Cu²⁺) involved in studies of wound repair, extracellular matrix synthesis, and metalloprotein regulation. Experimental data indicate its influence on gene expression related to collagen remodeling, antioxidant activity, and cellular proliferation. GHK-Cu is frequently studied as a model for peptide–metal interactions in tissue homeostasis and regenerative biochemistry.
